City of Port Wentworth - Comprehensive Plan

EPG was contracted by Port Wentworth to assist the City with development of their Comprehensive Plan 2008 Update in accordance with the DCA rules, adopted 2005. This project included a Community Assessment, Public Participation Plan and Community Agenda. EPG submitted the Community Agenda to DCA in August 2008 and the plan was formally adopted by the City in October 2008.

Elements unique to the City of Port Wentworth's Comprehensive Planning process included a public involvement program designed to be inclusive of a very diverse community. The Plan included special neighborhood-level planning considerations for the Historic Rural Neighborhoods that included a Revolutionary War-era neighborhood and a historic African American community associated with Mulberry Grove Plantation.
